Seventeen or Bust is a public prime searching project that is trying to prove that 78,557 is the smallest Sierpinksi number, a number k for which k·2n+1 is composite for all natural numbers n. Of the 17 initial Sierpinski numbers, 6 remain to be proven to be prime for some value of n.
